Callie has been sick for over a week now. I finally took her to the doctor since she wasn't getting any better. She's been having coughing attacks. She will cough so hard that she'll throw up. She's only been eating 2 oz every 4 or so hours and wakes up close to every hour because she has coughing attacks. Her doctor said it was a good thing I brought her in when I did. He said it's all in her lungs, just sitting there. She's trying to cough it up but it won't break up so the flem is just sitting there. He said she could have gotten worse fast. So, she is now taking Amoxicillin twice a day and is also taking meds thru a Nebulizer every 4 to 6 hours and right before bed. A Nebulizer is a machine that you pour the liquid medicine into and it turns it into aerosol form and she breathes it in. It goes to the lungs and airway to help break up all the crud. We feel so bad for her but hopefully these meds will work quickly. Here are some pictures of her getting her Nebulizer treatments. She does fine with them. She just lays there and breaths it in. She's such a trooper.
