Baptism

Jakobe was baptised on August 24th, 2008 by Pastor Jack Mithelman at Luther Memorial Church. He was a perfect little boy, taking in the light fixtures, ceiling fans, and the people. He just smiled and looked around. Not making a peep. Even when the Pastor poured the cold water over his head Jakobe's eyes just got really big, still not a peep. He was such a good little man! Thanks again to Bill and Leslie and everyone who shared his special day with us!

7 months!

Jakobe was baptized on Sunday, August 24th, 2008 which was also his 7 month birthday. Jakobe weighs 15 lbs 8 oz. New things this month: He can reach for people and reaches to be picked up. He gives hugs. He can scoot all the way around when laying on his stomach. He can sit up. He sucks his thumb and toes. He shows more personalities. He eats big boy food; pears, bananas, and right now peas. He can get in the crawling position but doesn't go anywhere quite yet. Oh and he's teething, finally!

My friend Jodi got married on Saturday. Here are a couple pictures from the wedding. Jakobe was a perfect little boy. He didn't make a sound the entire time during the ceremony.

Family!

It was great seeing family again. Dee Dee (the one holding Jakobe) had just met Jakobe for the first time! Molly, Trudy, Great Grammy, Grandma Tara, Dee Dee, David, Mark, Bisch, and Brad.

Then There Were 3!!!

On Saturday I got to baby-sit my friend Cristin's twins, McKenzie and Kaleb. The twins are exactly a month younger than Jakobe. They were born on February 24th. They were very good babies. Jakobe had fun playing with Kaleb on the couch. The boys were fun to watch. They kept poking at each other's faces. Jakobe also played on the floor with McKenzie. Accidentally rolling onto her once! Oops!

I finally gave in and bought a baby scale. Now I can weigh Jakobe whenever I want :)
Just for fun, I weighed Jakobe and Kaleb. Jakobe weighed in at 15.5 lbs while Kaleb weighed 16.8 lbs. McKenzie, Jakobe, and Kaleb.
