5 months!

Jakobe weighs 14 pounds 9 oz. He is 24 inches long. He can now turn himself all the way around in his exersaucer. He also plays with all the toys on it. He is talking more and more. I didn't think his squeals could get any louder! He loves to hold his hands together. He is very good at following objects. He can reach for things. He's drooling a lot. I bet those teeth are getting ready to come in! His favorite thing to do: SMILE! And he has a killer smile! Jakobe is getting more fun every day. I just can't believe how fast he is growing. I can't believe he is already 5 months old!

We are leaving Saturday for a week to go to our lake cabin in Wisconsin. It will be Jakobe's 1st vacation. I will post pictures when we return.

21 Weeks!

Jakobe has started this new thing with his lips. He's been doing this on a regular basis. He will put his lips together and sort of tuck his lips in.

Father's Day at Daycare

On Friday, Jakobe's daycare had a Father's Day picnic for all the dad's. David went and hung out with Jakobe at daycare. They even got to eat lunch with each other!

HE DID IT!!!

Yesterday we hit a milestone. Sitting up!!! Jakobe was laying on his boppy and he all of a sudden sit up! All on his own. David and I were shocked and excited. I started clapping and David was telling him good job. It was so amazing. We have been waiting for this for so long. Here is a picture of him laying on the boppy. The next picture is him sitting up. This was the third time he did it. We were so proud!!! (I think it's so cute that he's looking at us like what did I do?)

Hear His New Sounds!

Here are Jakobe's squeals. He does this constantly. The first time he made his squeal noise (Saturday, May 24th) I was changing him. He did it and I jumped back because I thought I hurt him some how. When I looked down he had a huge smile on his face. It was really cute. I must say that when he does this in public he sure turns heads. He is very loud when he does this. (I wonder who he gets that from?)
